Week 1: The Twist in the Tale

There was a certain gamble that i had played when i dropped a course in journalism by a reputed media house closer to my hometown and came up to the capital of India. And the extreme happiness that followed with my gamble paying off came to an absolute standstill as soon as i got to know that what a lifestyle i would have to be following in the coming two years. It seems that there is always a twist in a gambling story. That is what my first week in Jamiah made me realize.

Coming to terms with a completely new environment, i haven't still settled down in this busy-bustling-hot-humid city, but i have my hands full in the one week that i have spent at AJKMCRC. For any human being it would be utterly ridiculous to strain your day sitting through continuous lectured morning to evening (and the breaks in the middle being just a breathing space). But i like to see optimism in every step that i take. And even though i maybe a hypocrite, i try to function each day as any young man would do - compromising.

The facilities are top notch, the faculty young, the promises umpteen; and i hope to be learning more than just crib in the coming future. And as the blog heading goes, i hope better prison days are in the offing. Looking forward to sunnier days. Cheers!
